In this beginner friendly workshop, you'll be invited to learn the foundations of sadhana (personal practice) through the lens of the Patanjali's Yoga Sutras. We will explore how the sutras are incredibly applicable to every aspect of life, including how you take action against injustice in your communities and the world.
This workshop will include:
A community check in
Pranayama practice to prepare the mind
A basic overview of Chapter 1 of the Yoga Sutras, and it's function
Chanting and discussion of Yoga Sutra 1.1
Journaling and closing reflection
Melissa's comprehensive approach to yoga philosophy is rooted in 25+ years of yoga practice/study and over 11 years of consistent teaching yoga and yoga therapy
This workshop is for ALL levels, abilities, ages, bodies, and identities. Bring a friend, your family, and anyone you think can benefit from a holistic perspective on yoga and how yoga philosophy applies to daily life.
